Today's Wednesday Wisdom is brought to you by Kyle Richardson, consultant to Agility for All. Do you have a question? Post it in the comments.
Today I wanna answer the question, how do I create a better work culture? And this is the second part of my answer to this question. And the second part for me is about acceptance. Acceptance is, it's how we enable ourselves to let go. To understand that we have no control over the outcomes for anything.
What we control is the effort we put into achieving things that we can strive for results. And when those results don't turn out the way we want, well, we don't get the outcomes we want, it's very tempting. It's very tempting to to live in guilt and that can turn into shame and it can all become really unhealthy.
So having the ability to accept that I don't own the outcomes, I don't get to decide. I get to do everything I can and I get to help my team do everything they can to achieve something. And then at some point I just have to accept what is.
I'd leave you with this quote. This is from Siddhartha Gautama, Buddha.
"In the end, only three things matter how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you."
And that is today's Wednesday Wisdom. Don't forget that if you have a question post it below. Tune in next week for our next segment.
