Welcome to Wednesday Wisdom where I provide snippets of information to help you with your organization's culture. In this series, I will be addressing 10 reasons why transformational change fails in organizations. Let's get started.
Number three. Resistance to change. Employees may resist change due to fear of the unknown concerns about job security or attachment to established process and routines. Overcoming this resistance requires addressing fears, providing adequate support, and involving employees in the change process. Leaders must empathize with employee's concerns, communicating openly, and honestly about the reasons for change. By actively involving employees in planning and decision-making, leaders empower them to take ownership of the change, making them more likely to embrace it positively.
